England edge thriller to seal series victory against Australia
England has managed to register a sensational victory over Australia to seal the 5 match ODI series. The English team has managed to survive a dramatic collapse and later its lower order batsmen have shown some heroic effort to take England home in style. They beat Australia by one wicket in the third One-Day International played at Old Trafford. By this thrilling victory, England has taken the lead up to 3-0. This unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series has made them win the series as well.
Batting first, Australia has made 212 and was bowled out in their 46th over. Shane Watson has made 61 and was the top-scorer for Australia in this match. Tim Paine has also made a brilliant 44. On the other hand, off-spinner Graeme Swann took four wickets wasting 37 runs.
In second innings, England was just cruising to victory at 185 for three, but then the drama started. Australia then quickly took six wickets for 18 runs in 39 balls to slump the home team to 203 for the loss of nine wickets.
But Tim Bresnan has made 14 not out to win the match for his team. Graeme Swann was declared the man-of-the match.
