Hindustan Motors Rolls Out New Variant Of Winner Mini Truck In Tamil Nadu
Hindustan Motors, a top player in Indian automobiles industry, has rolled out its latest product - Winner XD Mini truck in Tamil Nadu.
Mr. Rattan Singh, HM Chief General Manager, Sales and Marketing (Vehicle), introduced the mini truck for the entire state of Tamil Nadu.
Mr Singh said that the last financial was a challenging period for the company, which is well known for its age-old brand Ambassador car.
He added that Ambassador recorded a record 50% increase in sales regardless of strong rivalry.
Claiming that the market for LCV market was the fastest growing in India, Mr. Singh said that the sector saw an increase of about 12% and was likely to expand further over a period of next 3-4 years.
"From the current (09-10) estimated market size of 2,40,000, it is expected to grow up to a level of 4,50,000 units by 2013-14 in which HM will garner a sizeable market,'' he said.
''Winner is the first LCV in India in BS-IV version in CNG. No other manufacturer has got BS-IV yet and HM Winner is far ahead in the industry to provide better technology and environment-friendly vehicles,'' Mr. Singh said. (With Inputs from Agencies)
