13-year-old Jordan Romero becomes youngest person to climb Mount EverestA 13-year-old boy from California, USA has become the youngest climber to reach the top of Mount Everest. He had broken all the records of Mount Everest climbers set before to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents.

Jordan Romero had ringed up his mother by the satellite phone from the top of the world's highest mountain of 29,035 feet i. e. around 8850 meters above sea level. His mother Leigh Anne Drake has informed that Jordan had said 'Mom, I'm calling you from the top of the world". She was watching her son's progress on an online GPS tracker.

Jordan was inspired for climbing by painting of the seven continents' in his school hallway.

The teenager with long curly hair climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa when he was only nine. Jordan had said on his blog earlier that every step he takes is finally toward the biggest goal of my life that is to stand on top of the world. The Previous record for the youngest climber to scale Everest had been held by Temba Tsheri of Nepal. He had reached the peak at age of 16.
