Suspect in the New York car-bomb plot arrested at JFK Airport

JFK-AirportCNN reported on Tuesday that Police has arrested a suspect in the New York car-bomb plot as he attempted to board an international flight at JFK Airport.

It was also reported that Law enforcement officers told CNN the suspect's identity and destination were not immediately known. They also said the U. S. citizen from Pakistan who paid cash for the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder three weeks ago through Craigslist is considered a "potential suspect."

The SUV, which was found burning Saturday in Times Square loaded with propane tanks, gasoline, fertilizer and other explosives, is at an FBI lab in Virginia where it is being examined for fingerprints and other physical evidence.

It was further noted by the report that the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force investigating the case believes several people may be involved in the plot. U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder said the investigation is working on some "good leads" without providing further detail. (With Inputs from Agencies)
