Rubber crisis looms, may hit India hard
The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) has warned of an impending rubber crisis is about to grip the world economy soon. As per the ANRPC, there will be huge global mismatch between rubber demand and supply in the current year. That will enhance the global rubber price. This forthcoming rubber crisis may hit India hard.
Even India is facing lot of issues in rubber production these days. The country is dealing with low productivity and sluggish growth in this industry currently.
The old areas for rubber production are producing very less amount of rubber where as there is very slow growth of rubber cultivation in new areas. The country is just about touching the average production mark now.
Production of rubber is directly related to the automobile industry, because the tyres are using rubber as major raw material. The economic development the global demand for automobiles is highly dependant of the amount of rubber produced all across the globe. If there will be rubber crisis in the world, then it will undoubtedly affect the automobile sector as well.
