Although, RBI POLICY kept Indian indices positive throughout the day, yet profit booking led market to close almost flat. Banking and reality attracted major buying. SENSEX closed at 17460, 59 points up, and NIFTY at 5230, 26 points up from the previous closing. CNX MIDCAP index was up 1.24% and BSE SMALLCAP index was up 1.58%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 1024 against declines of 245 on the NSE. Top gainers included DLF, RELINFRA, SBIN, SUNPHARMA, TATAMOTORS, GAIL, IDFC, UNITECH and SUZLON. Top losers are listed as TCS, HEROHONDA, WIPRO, BHARTIARTL, INFOSYS, SIEMENS and CIPLA.
In the next session Nifty is expected to face selling pressure and 5255-5265 might act as strong resistance zone. 5159 and 5125 may act as support levels. Hence, nifty is expected to trade in the range 5130-5240. Traders are suggested to follow the strategy of selling at gains as long as NIFTY is trading below 5290. BANKNIFTY FUT may face selling pressure if traded below 9533. OIL-GAS is expected to face selling pressure in the next session.
