It’s raining orders for Larsen & Toubro
The major engineering firm of the country, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has returned to the regular flow of business activities with some good number of projects in hand. This fiscal year has been the most successful year for the company in terms of receiving orders. In last couple of months, the company has managed to receive at least one order in a week. Sometimes it has also two orders in a week.
Currently, the order book of the company has orders worth around Rs 1 lakh crore. Executive vice-president, L&T, Mr. R Shankar Raman has informed that the company has huge number of orders this time. In first three months of 2010, it has around Rs 55,000 crore of orders.
Earlier, the company has already some issues related to the implementation of projects. These flaws were there in the company’s project execution due to the lack of finances or delayed clearances. Delay in execution of the orders had directly hampered the sales section of the firm.
However, the management of the company is keen on overcoming these issues this time and is anticipating implementing the projects at much faster speed.
