Natural-gas ended lower Monday as ample gas supplies, falling crude oil prices and a mild weather outlook weighed on the market. The number of rigs drilling for natural gas reached 973 last week, an increase of 28% from the end of 2009, according to oil-field-services provider Baker Hughes Inc.
