Saintly Surrey was the most faithful county of England, Devon leastA new survey has revealed that forty four percent of the people in sleepy Devon are having affairs.

According to the reports of Daily Star, a staggering 44 percent who live in the scenic county admit they are currently playing away while an extra 4 percent have cheated in the past.

Only 19 percent of people in second-placed Avon admitted they are cheaters. With only 3 percent having strayed, Saintly Surrey was the most faithful county.

OnePoll quizzed more than 4,000 married people on their relationship habits, to reach the conclusion.

"In our opinion, Devon has just been much more honest in their answers. It has previously been estimated that around 40 percent of women and 60 percent of men will cheat during marriage, so these figures seem incredibly low, Sara Hartley, from Illicit Encounters, said.

She further explained, "Traditional values seem to have a strong hold in rural towns and villages, therefore many feel a strong pressure to marry. As a result, we see a lot of members from places like Devon, who married young and now feel trapped in their relationships. The Western Isles, which is widely considered to be one of the most religious places in the UK, has a higher percentage of IllicitEncounters. com members than most other counties."
