Lenovo has rolled out new consumer PC brand “Idea” in the Indian market that includes notebook computers called IdeaPad and desktops named IdeaCentre.

The new series of notebooks comprises IdeaPad Y710, IdeaPad Y510 and IdeaPad U110, whereas and the desktop range consists of IdeaCentre K 200 and IdeaCentre Q200.

The new consumer-oriented IdeaPad notebooks and IdeaCentre desktops will match Lenovo’s business-oriented ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops.

Liu Jun, Senior Vice-President (consumer business group), Lenovo, said, “We are bringing Lenovo’s expertise in design and engineering to consumers with our Idea-branded PCs. Lenovo designed Idea PCs for the way people live and work, with cutting-edge features.”

The Idea range has been engineered for the finest user experience with cutting edge potentialities, trend-setting design, and built-in peace of mind. It features frameless screen, touch-sensitive control surfaces with unique textures including face recognition software, Dolby Home Theater surround sound and dedicated gaming controls.

The range also comes with Lenovo’s legacy of unmatched engineering and built-in peace of mind with features such as One Key Recovery, outstanding durability, the legendary ThinkPad inspired keyboard and an extended battery management feature to customize user-specific battery usage patterns, antibacterial keyboards.

Anil Philip, executive director, Transaction Business, Lenovo India said that Lenovo has been focusing on the India consumer segment in a significant manner, and the company would continue to focus on the Indian market.

“The new IdeaPad and IdeaCentre products will deliver to our customers, an experience and products that are inspiring, dependable, exciting and aspiration,” Mr. Philip added.

Presently, the IdeaPad Y510 and IdeaCentre K200 are available at all Lenovo authorized storefronts whereas IdeaPad Y710 and IdeaPad U110 will be available in all Lenovo authorized storefronts by the coming month. The price range for IdeaPad starts from Rs. 42,000 and the IdeaCentre from Rs. 23,050/- respectively.
