W.Bengal Police arrest two suspected Kashmiri terrorists
Barasat (West Bengal), Nov. 14 : West Bengal police arrested two suspected Kashmiri terrorists from Barasat in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on Friday night.
The local police made the arrests on a tip off from central investigation agencies.
The men are suspected to have connections to an international terrorist network in which David Headley was also allegedly involved, according to police sources.
The suspects, Kader Ahmed Bhatt and Ramesh Sambhu, were produced in Barasat court today and remanded to six days police custody. They have been charged under Section 25, 27, 35 of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
One of the suspects also has Lashkar links, police sources said, adding that the men may have been involved in perpetrating bomb explosions in Kashmir.
The suspects were arrested from Palpakuria in the Kazi Para area of Barasat from the house of one Dr Ghulam Ali.
They had rented the place in the guise of shawl sellers, police sources said. (ANI)
