Sonos supplements home music network through touchscreen remote

Sonos supplements home music network through touchscreen remote Berlin - Sonos has expanded its home music network through a wireless touchscreen remote control. Customers can use it to access the multi-room music system, the Dutch manufacturer reports.

The system's individual components transport music from a computer or the internet or even from a stereo set to as many as 32 rooms of a house.

The CR200's remote control allows for albums or individual songs to be selected so long as they are stored on the user's computer. It can also access internet radio networks like Last. fm and Deezer. The 3.5 inch display shows the cover of the album being played as well as information about the artist, where available.

The controller and charging station are available for around 350 dollars. Bundled with the ZonePlayer for the multi-room music system, it costs close to 1,000 dollars.(dpa)
