Ex-ally calls Berlusconi "real pig" with "whoring attitude of contempt towards women"
London, Aug 6 : Move over Silvio Berlusconi''s private life, as his approach to politics has now come under fire.
A former senator from his party has publicly branded the 72-year-old "a real pig" with a "whoring attitude of contempt towards women".
Paolo Guzzanti, a right-wing politician, resigned from Berlusconi''s party six months ago, reports The Times.
And now, Guzzanti has revealed the reason why he withdrew his long-term support for Berlusconi: his "whoring attitude of contempt towards women".
Guzzanti recently invited magistrates to ask him about the alleged existence of new tape recordings.
He called the business tycoon "un gran porco" (a real pig) "who has corrupted Italian femininity, opening unthinkable careers to pretty girls who have learnt only how important it is to give it to the right person at the right time".
His comments were reproduced by the left-of-centre weekly newspaper L''Espresso, and its sister publication, the daily newspaper La Repubblica.
Guzzanti resigned from the People of Freedom Party in February because of Berlusconi''s "enthusiastic, personal and friendly support" for Vladimir Putin during the Russian invasion of Georgia, and the alleged "lack of democracy" within the party.
While referring to transcripts of tape recordings, which he claims emerged during an unspecified inquiry in Naples and were "then destroyed in Rome, Guzzanti, in his blog, claims "people who now hold very high office discuss among themselves terrible things which decency and charity towards my country prevent me from writing".
When asked to elaborate by readers of his blog, Guzzanti described a culture of sexual favours within Italian politics.
He stated: "I say, and I confirm, that the things that were recounted to me by many sources are absolutely disgusting . . . anal intercourse; hours and hours of torment, waiting for an erection that never happens; advice between women on how to cut short the torment of being permanently horizontal, paid like a road toll.
"The day when a magistrate wants to interrogate me to find out from whom I have this information, and who was the journalist who supplied the reading material, I will do my duty and I will name names."
Meanwhile, Patrizia D''Addario, an escort girl who claims to have slept with the Italian Prime Minister, is reportedly planning to write a book about her erotic adventures.
D''Addario, 42 had recorded her encounter with Berlusconi on her mobile telephone.
The Bari prostitute grabbed international headlines last month after claiming she and other women had been paid to attend parties at Berlusconi''s homes.
Berlusconi''s private life has been the centre of sleaze claims since his wife Veronica Lario accused him of "consorting with minors" and asked for a divorce after he attended an 18th birthday party for wannabe model Noemi Letizia. (ANI)
