West Indies Announced Replacement Squad For First TestWest Indies cricket board has announced a 15-member squad for the first Test against Bangladesh, which will start from Thursday after the boycott by the West Indies Players' Association (WIPA) over the payment and contract issue.

As per the reports, 11 players were arrived in St Vincent, which was given training at the Arnos Vale Ground on Wednesday and the West Indies squad was declared later in the day.

Floyd Reifer has been named as captain of the West Indies team who had played four Tests between 1997 and 1999, and he has been currently playing for the Combined Colleges and Campus team in the West Indies domestic tournament and Darren Sammy has been named as the vice captain.

The 15-member West Indies squad included nine uncapped players including Barbados' Dale Richards, and Kraigg Brathwaite, a prolific 16-year old batsman, Combined Colleges and Campuses' Ryan Austin, Chadwick Walton, Omar Phillips and Kevin McClean, Jamaica's Andre Creary, Guyana's Travis Dowlin, and Grenada's Nelon Pascal.

Meanwhile, Mashrafe Mortaza, the Bangladesh captain, said that they would have liked to play against world class players like Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul as they could learn many things from them.

West Indies squad for the first Test includes Omar Phillips, Dale Richards, Floyd Reifer (capt), Travis Dowlin, Chadwick Walton (wk), Darren Sammy, Kemar Roach, Ryan Austin, Tino Best, Kevin McClean, Nelon Pascal, Andre Creary, Nikita Miller, Kraigg Brathwaite and David Bernard.
