PCB infelicitous on BCCI role
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is unhappy on the role of Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) in the meeting of four hosting nations of World Cup 2011, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and ICC representatives in London which was organized to resolve the issue of relocation of Pakistan's quota matches.
The PCB officials said that PCB chairman Ejaz Butt was unhappy as BCCI President Shashank Manohar refused to cooperate with Pakistan on his demand of relocation of their quota's match at the neutral venues.
Butt was assured by ICC President David Morgan and Vice-president Sharad Pawar that the issue will be resolved in the meeting in London but at the meeting all the other three co-hosts refused to accept the Pakistan's proposal to shift the Pakistan's quota matches to Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
After that Butt left the meeting in a miff and he also exchanged harsh words with the representative of the Bangladesh board, Mahboob Ali.
