Injured Sehwag likely to miss Champions Trophy
Indian aggressive opener Virender Sehwag could miss the Champions Trophy which will start from 24th September, due to shoulder injury.
Sehwag has undergone surgery of his left shoulder on 11th June and he will be out of the cricketing action for next 12-16 weeks.
Sehwag has to wear a triangular bandage for at least four weeks while it will take about six weeks to heal the wound of the shoulder.
Sehwag had received the shoulder injury during Indian Premier League (IPL-2) while playing for Delhi Daredevils and he was ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup as he was unable to recover from the shoulder injury.
Nitin Patel, Indian team physio, will observe Sehwag's rehabilitation process and his stint at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore and Sehwag's shoulder will be examined after 10 weeks to check whether he can throw the ball or not.
