The man of the match T Dilshan played a magical inning of 96 runs not out in just 57 balls and just missed maiden ton of the ICC T20 World Cup by 4 runs.

Sri Lanka scored 158 runs for the loss of five wickets after West Indies skipper Chris Gayle won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat first in the crucial encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Chasing the target of 159, West Indies got to a worst ever start as they lost their three wickets in the first over of their inning with only one run on the board.

The West Indies batsmen collapsed against Sri Lankan bowling attack as except Chris Gayle (63). No other Caribbean batsman reached to the double figure and West Indies team returned to pavilion with just 101 runs on the board in 17.4 overs.

A Mathews and M Muralitharan played a major role in destroying West Indies batting attack as both took three wickets each for Sri Lanka.
