Denmark trims lending rate by 0.10 percentage point
Copenhagen - Denmark's central bank Thursday lowered its lending rate by 0.10 percentage points to 1.55 per cent.
The Danish rates cut was effective as of June 8, the central bank said.
Denmark is a member of the European Union, but not a member of the eurozone.
The Danish central bank often shadows moves by the European Central Bank (ECB) but while the Danish central bank announced its rates cut the ECB earlier Thursday decided to keep its rates steady at 1 per cent.
The Danish central bank said the discount rate and the current account rate would also be lowered by 20 basis points to 1.20 per cent. (dpa)
