The company known for its photographic film and cameras – Fujifilm Holdings Corporation or Fujifilm of Japan has launched its FinePix Z30 digital camera in the Indian market. The sleek looking FinePix Z30 comes packed with some remarkable features, such as Automatic Scene Recognition (SR Auto) feature that automatically identifies different scenes, subjects and faces.     

The FinePix Z30 is 10 megapixel camera featuring 2.7 inch TFT LCD screen, and 3x optical zoom lens. The camera boasts of face detection technology and automatic red eye removal features. The camera allows users to upload the captured photographs and videos on social networking or video sharing websites. The camera also allows users to transfer the photographs and videos to their friends through emails.  

The FinePix Z30 features successive movie mode, which allows users to create new one minute video clips; it allows mixing of two scenes along with editing of start and end points. The camera allows users to click two successive images simultaneously, using the natural light with flash mode. The camera boasts of two shutter releases one for capturing still photos and the other for recording movies. The camera offers thirteen different scene positions with one-touch setting. It sports approximately 5.7x digital zoom, 35-105mm lens, and shutter speed between 8 sec to 1/2000 sec.

The auto-focus Z-30 also features centre and multi AF area modes. The camera is capable of adjusting normal telephoto and macro focus distances. In addition to SR Auto, the Z-30 also features shooting modes including Sunset, Snow, Beach, Museum, Party, Flower and Text. The camera also features preset white balance modes such as Incandescent light, Fluorescent light (Cool White), Fine, Shade, and Fluorescent light (Warm White). The camera comes with approx. 10 sec. /2 sec. delay/Couple Timer/Group Timer self timers, and long-period, Final-3, Top-3, Top-12 continuous shooting modes. It also comes with forced flash, suppressed flash and other flash modes.

The FinePix Z30 is capable of capturing images at several resolutions including 3648 x 2736, 3648x 2432, 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200 and 640 X 480 pixels and recording videos at 30fps in 640×480 pixel or 320×240 pixel resolutions. The camera can captures still images in JPEG (EXIF 2.2), movie clips in AVI (MJPEG) while audio in WAV file formats.

Other specifications of the FinePix Z30 include support for SD/SD-HC media cards, USB 2.0 High Speed digital input/output, 1/2.3 ” CCD, 10 million effective pixels sensor, and NP-45 Li-ion durable rechargeable batteries. The FinePix Z30 measures 91mmx 59mm x 26mm, and it weighs 117g (without battery).  

The FinePix Z30 is available in black, orange and purple colours through all major retail stores in India. The FinePix Z30 is initially available for introductory price of Rs.9,499, supported by a three year warranty. Sometime later the Z30 will be available for Rs.11,499.
