Narayan Rane blames Shiv Sena of kidnapping his cousin brother
Mumbai, Apr 20: Senior Congress leader and Maharashtra’s Industries Minister Narayan Rane on Monday blamed the Shiv Sena for kidnapping his cousin brother Ankush Rane, who was found dead on Sunday near Kankavli town in Sindhudurg District.
Ankush was missing from his residence in a village in Sidhudurg District since April 17.
The body was confirmed to be that of Ankush after his family identified it.
Rane alleged that Shiv Sena MPs Sanjay Raut and Vaibhav Naik were behind his cousin’s abduction.
“Shiv Sena is trying to terrorise people. I am sure Sanjay Raut is involved in this act,” Narayan Rane said.
The Shiv Sena has rejected the allegations and accused Narayan Rane of mudslinging.
“There is no reason why there should be any accusation against the Shiv Sena. Narayan Rane has not given any proof; this is mudslinging. Police must conduct an investigation to find the truth,” Shiv Sena spokesperson Bharat Kumar Raut said.
Police have registered a murder case and are investigating the case further. (ANI)
