Rome - AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has denied
allegations that he met with Real Madrid to discuss the transfer of
Brazilian star Kaka, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Tuesday.

Spanish daily Marca said on Monday that Real agreed in March with
Galliani to pay 60 million euros (80 million dollars) for the 2007 Fifa
World Player.

Galliani said he is a good friend of Florentino Perez, who is set
to take over the presidency of Real after resigning in 2006, but ruled
out the sale of the 26-year-old forward.

"I don't want to polemize with Florentino," Galliani said, "also
because I'm calm (about the matter). Perez has not yet been elected
president of Real and cannot make any commitment. With anyone.

"However, I'm certain that if one day Florentino wanted to buy
Kaka, he would come directly to me, without making a detour. Therefore
I'm calm. Milan consider Kaka not for sale and Florentino will realize
it."

Kaka came close to leaving Milan in January, when Manchester City
offered him a lucrative contract and the Devils a transfer fee
exceeding 100 million euros.

But Kaka decided to remain and continue playing his sixth season
with Milan, where he has won a national title in 2004 and, in 2007, the
Champions League and the Club World Cup. (dpa)
