In a significant move, West Indies skipper Chris Gayle had rubbished rumors that his side would boycott the rest of the ODI series against England because of another dispute with the national cricket board.

Speaking on this, Gayle said, “There wasn't any threat made about boycotting any games, not to my knowledge. If the game wasn't supposed to go on, I'd be home cocking up my legs now.”

"We're making a lot of progress (on negotiations with the West Indies Cricket Board) which is good. There has been speculation about no game and so forth but the games will be going on,” added the skipper.

The third match of the five-match ODI series would be played between the two teams on Friday. Both the teams have so far won one match each.

Earlier some media reports had indicated that five senior West Indies players, including skipper Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, have warned to pull out of their country's tour of England in May and play in the IPL instead after their discussion with the board over pay dispute failed yet again.

Moreover, the meeting between the West Indies Cricket Board and the West Indies Players' Association (WIPA) ended without reaching any agreement over pay dispute.
