 Pakistan’s Chashma nuclear power plant shut down after developing technical sangIslamabad, Mar. 25 : The 325 megawatts (MW) Chashma Nuclear Power Plant has been reportedly shut down after it developed some technical snag.

According to The News, the plant was closed down after a fault was detected in the special motor which ensures the cooling of reactor.

Technical experts are carrying out the repair work. They said the plant could be made operational by next Friday only.

Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) spokesperson, Tahir Basharat Cheema also confirmed the closure of the nuclear power plant.

Cheema said efforts were on to make the plant operational as soon as possible. (ANI)
