Police free kidnapped Belgian businessman in Mexico
Mexico City (dpa) - A Belgian businessman kidnapped a month ago in the Caribbean resort city of Cancun, Mexico, was freed by security forces.
Kurt Jansen, the owner of a Cancun nightclub, was found Monday in a house in Guadalajara, 2,200 kilometres west of Cancun, police said.
Two people were arrested in the February 6 abduction, in which armed men snatched Jansen as he was leaving his nightclub.
Jansen's family said the perpetrators had demanded a ransom of 2 million dollars. (dpa)
