65-year-old appears in class 10th exams for the 44th time in Uttar Pradesh
Fatehpur, Mar 7 : Undeterred by past failures, a 65-year-old man in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh is appearing in class 10th standard exams for the 44th time.
Mian Jabbar Husen could not clear his 10th secondary exams for 43 years but still has not lost hope to clear it.
Mian Jabbar's financial condition is very poor. He sells vegetables to make his both ends meet. This is the reason that he hardly finds time to study.
Husen said that education is higher than the religion and money. It is a possession, which no one can snatch.
"I will study till my last breath. But I am not able to clear the exams because I just get a month or two to study for the exams. I can clear the exams if I will get more time," Husen said.
His young fellow batchmates say that they always suggested Jabbar Mian to take help from other students present inside the examination room but he refused everytime.
"While taking the exams, we tried a lot to help him with the answers but he never agreed to take any help. He is continuously trying to clear his exams on his own. We all wish that he clears the exams soon," said Vinod, Husen's young fellow batch mate.
Ram Veer Arya, the principal of Adarsh Janata Inter College, where Jabbar Mian appears for his exams, feels that at 65 he has a strong will power to carry on with his dreams at this age.
"His aim is to clear the exams without making any attempt to cheat. He wants to clear the exams with his own capability," Arya said. (ANI)
