Promoters of Bombay Dyeing pledged 12.88% shares
The textile and real estate firm, Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co Ltd disclosed share pledged by investors following the directives of market regulator, the Security and Exchange Board of India to divulge shares pledged by promoters of all listed companies.
The promoters of firm pledged 12.88 per cent or almost 5 million shares, as per its revelation before the National Stock exchange (NSE) under Regulation 8A of Securities and Exchange Board of India.
Its promoters including Nowrosjee Wadia & Sons hold 47.10 per cent shares in the overall equity of company. Nowrosjee Wadia & Sons, having 17,69,856 shares in the company, pledged over 99 per cent or 17,59,000 shares. Similarly, N W Exports, having equity of 11,13,674 shares in Bombay Dyeing, pledged 100 per cent of its equity.
Bombay Burmah Trading Corp, having 59,28,875 shares in the company, has pledged 10.12 per cent of its shares. However, BB Trading Corp said that it has applied for the release of the pledged shares with the help of some alternate securities.
Meanwhile, the shares of Bombay Dyeing closed at Rs 146.05 with decline of 0.5 per cent against its previous close of Rs 151.35.
