Five persons killed in political clashes in West Bengal
Birbhum, Feb. 7, : At least five persons died and many other injured in clashes between political activists in Birbhum district of West Bengal on Saturday.
The activists of Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and Trinamool Congress clashed at Papuri village early in the morning.
The deceased has not been identified yet.
Eyewitnesses said that early in the morning CPI-M supporters attacked the members of Trinamool Congress and set fire to a few houses.
"We were sleeping when the CPI-M supporters forcefully entered our house and set it on fire," an eyewitness Sajida Bibi said.
The police force rushed to the spot and situation was under control. (ANI)
