Pak to review options if Obama doesn’t adopt positive policy
Washington, Jan 21: Pakistan has said that it would review its options if the Obama Administration didn't adopt positive policy towards the country.
Pakistan Ambassador to the US, Hussain Haqqani, said that former President George Bush was more inclined to getting his words accepted than listening to others and believed in use of force.
He said that new President Barack Obama as compared to Bush believed in holding talks and hoped the he (Obama) would give more patient hearing to Pakistan views.
Haqqani further hoped that Obama in relation to war against terrorism would also pay attention to the political, foreign policy factors and socio-economic matters.
The News quoted Haqqani as saying that Obama wanted to change the global image of the US.
Commenting on Pakistan's role in the war against terrorism and ties with the US, Haqqani said that Pakistan was an ally of the US and participating it is participating in the war against terrorism in its own interest. (ANI)
