Berlin Film Festival announces jury members
Berlin - The Berlin Film Festival announced Tuesday the names of the members of the jury which will decide who takes home the prestigious prizes from next month's Berlinale.
Headed up by academy award winning British actress Tilda Swinton, the jury for the 59th Berlinale comprises Spanish director Isabel Coixet, Burkinabe director Gaston Kabore and Swedish best-selling author Henning Mankell.
German-born director Christoph Schlingensief, US-based director Wayne Wang as well American food activist and author Alice Waters are also members of the jury for the Berlinale, which is one of the world's top three international film festivals.
In handing out the coveted Berlinale's Golden Bear and Silver Bears, the jury will select from the more than 20 films that have been chosen for the festival's main competition this year. (dpa)
