Aamir Wants ‘3 Idiots’ To Break All ‘Ghajini’ Records!
Visibly upbeat after the record-breaking success of ‘Ghajini’, Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan aspires to woo the audience with the same results in all his upcoming movies.
While talking about his forthcoming much-awaited Rajkumar Hirani’s “3 Idiots”, the actor said, “Success is not in my hands. I can only follow my heart and work with all the sincerity and hard work that I always do. I would be happy if my next film 3 Idiots breaks all Ghajini records.”
Posting for the first time after the release of his worldwide grosser ‘Ghajini’, which earned around Rs 2 billion worldwide, Aamir also thanked his buffs for their overall support.
Talking about Ghajini’s stupendous BO collections, Aamir said, “I do not react to numbers. But they do indicate the success of the film. For me, the feeling that my hard work has been appreciated is priceless. It is because of director A R Murugadoss's vision and script that the film has made a strong impact across the world.”
The multi-talented actor said he goes by his character, when it comes to choosing films.
He also said that it is not easy to define the potential of any film.
“I did Taare Zameen Par because I loved the story. I had no idea that it would do the business that it eventually did. It is very difficult to define the potential of any film. When I hear a script, I react as an audience. I was moved by the Tamil version of Ghajini in every aspect. The inner feeling cannot be described,” he said.
Aamir also said that Ghajini’s unbelievable success had pressurized him to deliver the same in his upcoming films.
Speaking about loosing his eight-pack abs, which he particularly developed for ‘Ghajini’, he pointed out, “I had to stretch myself to a limit. Losing the physique is also equally strenous. I have to sport a lean look for 3 Idiots and am in the process of losing weight.”
Aamir also revealed that he aims to work on a new version of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, eyeing the role of Lord Krishna that needs big preparations, research as well as commitment.
Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film is based on Chetan Bhegat’s bestseller ‘Five Point Someone’ and also stars Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan in the lead apart from Aamir.
