No 'Sarkar Raj' sequel yet; Contract has nothing to do with Satya: Ram Gopal Varma

Putting aside the rumors about the making of Sarkar Raj sequel, director Ram Gopal Varma, spoke about his two upcoming releases - Contract and Phoonk.

‘Contract’ introducing, Adhvik Mahajan, is based on the under world. However, it is not a trilogy of  Varma’s two earlier films Satya and Company which too were based on crime.  Contract also has Sakshi Gulati, Amruta Khanvilkar, Prasad Purandare, Zakir Hussain, among others. Praveen Nischol, Ajay and Sanjeev Bijli are producing the film.

The director explained that “Satya dealt with the insides of the underworld while Company was a look at the organized structure of the underworld. Contract is a link between underworld and terrorism. ‘Contract’ is a Bollywood masala film packaged in a raw, rustic and realistic manner. The film is very cinematic. It has nothing to do with terrorism.”

Contract is scheduled to be released on July 18.

On the other hand, the creepy ‘Phoonk’ belongs to the horror genre based on black magic. But it is not as scary as Bhoot. “It is about a force beyond comprehension. There are forces, which we refuse to acknowledge and accept and try a scientific way of explaining it. That is what Phoonk is about”, unveils the director.
