N.J. resort fire leaves three floors damagedAuthorities have said that a fire at an Atlantic City, N. J., casino resort caused smoke and water damage on three floors and led to the evacuation of some guests.

The Press of Atlantic City has reported that the fire broke out Sunday evening on the sixth floor of the Tropicana Casino and Resort, and was reported by resort security officials.

Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks has said that the third, fourth and fifth floors sustained water and smoke damage.

A Tropicana spokeswoman further said that the fire began in a bin of towels. Diane Spiers said the fire was extinguished immediately and is under investigation.

The Press also said that fire crews spent about 2 hours at the resort. (With Inputs from Agencies)
