New workout schedule attracts fitness conscious people
A new workout can help stimulate brain and muscles through new activities including barre plies in the air, dance cardio, or a killer routine created after a famous cooking show.
According to fitness expert Jeff Halevy, owner of Halevy Life gym in New York, "Everybody falls into fitness ruts. It either means you are no longer getting results from your program or you're just sick and tired of doing the same old thing. You're going to naturally see new results that you haven't seen in a while".
Activities in High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) are repeated which include short, intense bursts of activity and then rest or low-intensity moves are done. Duration of these activities is different but these are based on the same principal. The workout consists of mountain climbers, a circuit of burpees and jumping jacks for 60 seconds per move with a 10-second break in between.
Many cities offer HIIT classes as the fast-paced routine indicates several combinations and consequently muscles don't plateau and one enjoys the workout. Also, according to researchers, if one tries until one is prepared to drop for shorter intervals; it leads to burning of more calories than steady cardio. Tabata classes at Equinox or a local YMCA are recommended, where a strict 20 seconds of extreme work out is followed by a 10-second rest series.
According to AntiGravity's Alex Schlempp, classes are really enjoyable with dancer-style kick lines and it is interesting that those who get inner thigh and butt workout without even knowing about it. ClassPass' Payal Kadakia said that many types of workouts indicate that people can go for many such activities according to their body.
