New government won't hand me over to IAEA: AQ Khan
Islamabad, Apr 9: Pakistan's detained nuclear scientist Dr AQ Khan has said that he has faith in the coalition and is confident that they will not hand him over to the IAEA.
He falsified the claim that he was kept under house arrest because of security measures.
"I am being persecuted for the sake of one individual and the concept of my detention as a security measure is totally wrong," The News quoted Dr Khan as saying in an interview with a private TV channel.
He added: "I want freedom and to live a normal life with my family."
He further said if he was released, he was confident that the Pakistan Army would protect him. Pakistan's nuclear weapons are absolutely safe and secure, Dr Khan said. "No one can take away our nuclear weapons," he added. (ANI)
