Finally, Research in Motion (RIM) came out with its latest BlackBerry handset, which is being claimed to be quite media friendly, with no trackball at all.

It has appeared that the new 8520 handset will boat an optical trackball, with its top having some rubberized multimedia keys (as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack on the side of the phone) to highlight the new BB focus.

It has been learnt that the set will cost $25 a month on contract.

A 2MP camera, Wi-Fi and GPRS connectivity and a microUSB port are some of its other features.

The set will also include BlackBerry App World, RIM's new application portal, along with full HTML browsing.
