New Application Lets iPhone, BlackBerry Users To Help Check Corruption
Putting control over corruption may be simpler with the help of a new application, which permits users of iPhones and BlackBerrys to catch police taking bribe and also check out traffic rules and regulations.
The novel application developed for iPhone and the iPod will shortly be available to BlackBerry users.
It has a traffic-fine estimator, a map explaining directions to parking areas where vehicles are impounded after their drivers breach traffic rules.
The administrator of the Futuro Movil company, Daniel Martinez Landeros, stated that the anti-bribe programme will cost 20 pesos in the virtual Apple store, and in less than three months has had over 11,000 downloads.
Apart from having the list of emergency numbers, the new programme also offers up information on the type of vehicles permitted to commute in any specific area on a particular day and restrictions about the use of old vehicles.
The company has also made an application to keep users informed on the traffic along their way and alternative routes.
The system will inform the users about road accidents, detours besides giving them access to the history of each vehicle to see if it has any traffic fines pending. (With Inputs from Agencies)
