New Apple CEO Cook assures staff that ‘company will not change’California, August 26 : Tim Cook, who replaced Steve Jobs as the chief executive of Apple has told the staff that `company will not change'.

In an email to Apple's staff, cook said he is confident that the future of the company was `safe' and the `best years' were yet to come.

The email was sent a day after Steve Jobs stepped down as the CEO. Jobs resigned after telling the board that his health problems meant that he `could no longer meet my duties and expectations as CEO', The Telegraph reports.

"I want you to be confident that Apple is not going to change. I cherish and celebrate Apple''s unique principles and values. Steve built a company and culture that is unlike any other in the world and we are going to stay true to that-it is in our DNA," Cook said in the email.

"We are going to continue to make the best products in the world that delight our customers and make our employees incredibly proud of what they do," he added.

But, Jobs is likely to remain involved in developing major future products and strategy and intends to be an active chairman of the board.

"Steve has been an incredible leader and mentor to me, as well as to the entire executive team and our amazing employees. We are really looking forward to Steve''s ongoing guidance and inspiration as our Chairman," Cook said. (ANI)
