New Amazon Collections to categorize shopping list
US retail giant, Amazon has announced the launch of a new feature called the `Amazon Collections' that allows users to categorize shopping on different lists.
The new collection feature also allows other users to follow and also lets users add images to the items. It comes with three default categories including my style, want list, and possibilities and users will be allowed to create more categories. The store also has default lists for books, movies, music, men's fashion, women's fashion, and collections called featured.
"Collections are a way to gather and share things you like, want, or recommend. Start a Collection to show off your unique style, or see what others have Collected on Amazon," said the company.
The new feature will allow users to save images of particular items allowing them to easily refer back to the item for price and product details. Collections also allow users follow people with similar tastes and interests to know what others are buying.
The company has launched the app in a test phase and it is not known if the app will continue to be offered. The company said that it is now testing new functionality on the site allowing customers to discover and share new things.
