For the holiday season of Christmas, Acer has deducted the prices of entire range of netbooks for the Indian customers. Acer's Aspire One, which comes with pre-installed XP Home version, will be available at Rs. 17,499 under this offer, and the customers can avail these netbooks in five different colors - Sapphire Blue, Brown, Black, Pink and White.

Numerous connectivity possibilities, an easy-to-use software application suite and battery life of up to 3 hours plus is offered by the Aspire one, that has an LCD size of 8.9-inch and weighing less than one kilo. To add more, the netbook would come with an ergonomically designed keyboard which is 89% of the full size.

"Christmas is one of the biggest gifting seasons worldwide. With this latest initiative from Acer, the Aspire One can be an ideal gift during this festive season. We also believe that this would be a beachhead to the widespread adoption of mobile computing in India as consumers in a slowing economy look at 'super value for mone' offerings. The latest Intel Atom processor technology, Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home is equipped in the Aspire One and it also has 1GB of RAM memory installed with up to 160 GB of HDD.
