Nepal’s ex-King to hold press meet today

King GyanderaKathmandu, June 11 : Nepal’s ex-King Gyanendra will hold a press conference at the Narayanhiti palace in the evening before leaving for Nagarjuna palace.

According to Nepalnews sources he will read out a brief press statement in which he is expected to explain his side of the story including his perspective on the unfolding events leading up to the abolishment of monarchy.

He will leave Narayanhiti palace in the evening after the press meet and go to Nagarjuna palace. The government has already permitted him to stay in the Nagarjuna for the time being.

The ex-royals have been provided with 50 Armed Police Force personnel and 25 Nepali Army personnel. (ANI)
