Nasscom needs to change: says N Chandrasekaran The National Association of Software & Services Companies (Nasscom) will have to change itself so that it can stay relevant with the changing dynamics of India's information technology (IT) industry, the industry body's chairman N Chandrasekaran said.

Speaking at Nasscom's 21st Leadership Summit on Wednesday, N Chandrasekaran said that the industry body would not be able to keep pace with the increasing size of the industry if it didn't open to changes.

Stressing on the need to change, he said, "Nasscom needs to change. We are looking to double the size of the industry and if you're not open to changes, then you're not agile."

Chandrasekaran also said that Nasscom had adapted itself to new things, facilitating capability building and enabling policy making.

Nasscom's effort to restructure itself comes at a time when the country's $100 billion IT industry is witnessing changes in business models, platforms and products & solutions.
