Nagarjuna Construction Bags Three Orders Worth Rs 424 Cr
Nagarjuna Construction Co Ltd has pocketed three new orders valued at Rs 424 crore.
The first order worth Rs 266 crore is received from the Commissioner, Indore Municipal Corporation for constructing sewerage system and other allied works. The project is to be finished with a period of 36 months.
The second order, from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, Maharashtra, is valued at Rs 112 crore. The project, completed over a period of 18 months, is for the construction of flyovers on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg.
The third order worth Rs 46 crore is secured from the Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd., Chakan, MIDC, Pune, for making body shop hall, which is to be executed over a period of 12 months.
Nagarjuna Construction’s major activity is to make industrial and commercial buildings. It builds roads, bridges, underground drainage and sewerage, stadiums, flyovers, multi-storey and duplex apartments, farm and private houses. The Company makes construction equipment and generates power from wind farms.
For the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2007, the company has registered a turnover of Rs 112.73 crore and net profit of Rs 4.11 crore, as against a turnover of Rs 111.9 crore and a profit of Rs 3.02 crore in the same period of the previous year.
At 2:55 pm, Nagarjuna Construction shares were down 4.2% at Rs 239.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
