Music Of ‘Kuselan’ Released

Ace Kollywood superstar Rajnikanth unveiled the music of his forthcoming Music Of ‘Kuselan’ ReleasedTamil movie ‘Kuselan’ in Chennai on Monday.

Kuselan, which is the remake of a Malayalam film ‘Kathaparayumbol’, is ready to release simultaneously in Tamil as well as Telugu in July.

While lecturing at the audio release of his much awaited film, produced by Pushpa Kandasamy and Vijayakumar for Kavithalaya and Seven Arts and directed by P. Vasu, Rajni said that he owed his status and respect to his mentor K. Balachander.

Vasu being an all-rounder, he took care of various departments thoroughly therefore all the things went on well with the film, he said.

While answering to the ubiquitous question that everyone poses about his young looks, Rajni said that after 40 years, one should stay away from all the ‘white” things in food including sugar, salt, rice, milk and curd.

“With these, one must always have positive thinking and good words. If everything is positive, one would not look old at all”, he remarked.

K.Balachander released the audio and the first CD was received by A.R. Rahman, which was then passed on to G. V. Prakash Kumar, music director of ‘Veyil.’

In line with the theme of the movie, that is, friendship, top personalities handed over the film’s CD to their respective best friends.

Rajinikanth gave the CD to his best friend Murali, Balachander to Bharathiraja, P. Vasu to Leo Christopher, Prakash Kumar to P.Vijay (director of “Kreedam”) and Jagapathi Babu, who is doing the Telugu version “Kathanayakudu,” to his friend actor Arjun. G. V. Prakash Kumar said that he himself was a fan of Rajinikanth.

“After the blessings of K. Balachander, I started my work. My guru and uncle A. R. Rahman is there with me always”, Parkash added.

Prakash also got country’s best singers -- Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam -- to sing for him. The music track of Kuselan, which has five songs, also features a song by famous pop singer Daler Mehndi.

The more exciting thing to note is that Big Music bought the audio rights of Kuselan for a whopping Rs 2.2 crore, the highest for a Tamil album.

The previous highest was for Rahman's Sivaji, again a Rajnikanth film.

With the film all set to hit theatres this July, Rajini buffs don't have to wait long.
