Motorola announces to release its FR Series computer phones FR68 and FR6000 in India
The manufacturer of wireless telephone handsets based in Schaumburg, Illinois, Motorola has announced to release its FR Series cell phones FR68 and FR6000 in the Indian market. Motorola has claimed that the FR68 and FR6000 cell phones are rugged and compact mobile computers that can work in several local languages, and can help to boost productivity various businesses, including healthcare, logistics, transportation, utilities, manufacturing, and public safety.
According to Motorola, the FR68 and FR6000 mobile devices are Enterprise Digital Assistants that can help to do a number of business works and access & process important data associated with businesses. Specifically built for usage in warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing plants, the two rugged handheld computers can withstand high temperatures and everyday drops; the devices can withstand three foot drops on a concrete floor and are sand, dust and water resistant.
The Motorola FR68 and FR6000 devices feature 3.5G HSDPA/WAN offering simultaneous voice and high-speed data connectivity and GPS navigation, with superior sensitivity and tracking capabilities. The two handheld computer phones run Marvell XScale PXA312 624MHZ processor and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1.
The Motorola FR68 and FR6000 phones also feature Bluetooth, 1D bar code scanner, 3G wireless WAN (WWAN), wireless LAN (WLAN), wireless PAN (WPAN) and IrDA connectivity. The Motorola FR68 features a high resolution 3.2 mega pixel auto-focus color camera and an optical character recognition.
What is more, Motorola will offer FR series customers service, ranging from hardware and software support to repairs of the broken displays, keypads or any internal and external parts, right from the day one of the purchase.
Motorola hasn’t yet announced the exact date of the launch of the FR68 and FR6000 in India, but the two phones are expected to hit the Indian market shortly.
The FR68 and FR6000 will be available through local Motorola PartnerSelect members. The two devices are expected to be priced between $1400 (Approx Rs 70,000) - $2000 (1,00,000).
