MNS has hit us hard, says NCP

MNS has hit us hard, says NCPMumbai, Oct 22 - The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) said Thursday that it had been hurt by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in the assembly elections.

"The MNS has hurt NCP. We have certainly faced a setback," NCP spokesman Sachin Ahir said here as officials counted the tens of thousands of votes counted in the Oct 13 ballot.

Ahir added that since the NCP was contesting only 114 seats, "so the Congress would definitely have an upper hand" in the 288-member assembly. The NCP is the junior ally to the Congress.

"The Congress will decide" who will be the chief minister of Maharashtra, he said. (IANS)
