Microsoft to stay on board, while Google disembarks the Chinese market

Microsoft to stay on board, while Google disembarks the Chinese marketGoogle's backdrop from China following the attacks which supposedly originated from the country and censorship feud ramifications has not hindered Microsoft to discontinue its service.

Microsoft's chief, Steve Ballmer corroborated the same stating that the company is not in the mood to pull its services from China. It was further established by Zhang Yaqin, chairman of Microsoft's Asia-Pacific R&D Group that regardless of whether or not Google stays, they shall remain proactive in aggressively promoting the search and cloud computing in China.

It was also proclaimed that Microsoft shall put in $500 million for the research and development and an extra $150 million for outsourced projects.

Nevertheless, this seems to be an opportunity in disguise for Microsoft. It can give ample space for Bing to establish itself in the Chinese market and earn lucrative returns. Still, doubts arise whether Bing can match the standards and offer the same quality that Google offers.
