Microsoft to sell Xbox One at $499
Software giant, Microsoft has announced that it is planning launch its new Xbox One during the month of November with a price tag of £429 in the UK, $499 in the US and 499 euros in the mainland Europe.
The company announce the launch date and price of the device at the keynote opening event at the Electronic Entertainment Expo games expo in Los Angeles. The company focused on how the cloud computing will make games for its next-generation Xbox One console more engaging during the presentation at the E3. The company said that the console must be connected to the internet once in every 24 hours to operate and added that ideally it must always be connected to the internet.
Microsoft Vice President Phil Harrison said, "The platform features and capabilities exclusive to Xbox One allow developers to push the boundaries of creativity and take gaming in completely new directions."
The company demonstrated the gaming console's capabilities with games like zombie-fighting sequel "Dead Rising 3" and cartoony shooter "Sunset Overdrive." Other games for the console would include "Ryse: Son of Rome," hard-knuckled brawler "Killer Instinct," a bigger edition of "Minecraft," terra-forming simulator "Project Spark" and a new installment of the sci-fi shooter series "Halo."
