Metso Minerals picks order worth Rs 117 crore
Metso Minerals, a Helsinki, Finland-based mining equipment manufacturer, has secured two new orders worth Rs 117 crore from two firms.
The company has bagged first order worth Rs 72.50 crore (EUR 11 million) from JSW Steel Ltd., for supply of an iron ore induration machine for its plant in Vijayanagar, (Toranagallu) in the Bellary district of Karnataka.
The order comprises a 464 square meter induration machine with 177 pellet cars with a feed rate of approx. 375 tonnes per hour of iron ore pellets.
The delivery will be completed during the first quarter of 2010.
While the second order worth Rs 44.50 crore (EUR 6.75 million) has been secured from Bharat Mines and Minerals (BNM) Ispat.
Under the deal, the company will supply an iron ore beneficiation plant to BMM Ispat Ltd's Hospet-Bellary mine in Karnataka, Southern India.
The order comprises a scrubber, a spiral classifier, a high gradient magnetic separator (HGMS), a VPA vertical plate pressure filter, lamella thickeners, pumps as well as other related equipment, supervision of erection and commissioning.
The company claims that the delivery will be completed by the end of 2010.
