Mayawati Govt. is trapping SP leaders in fake criminal cases, says Mulayam
Lucknow, May 4 : Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday alleged that to refrain his party from contesting in the next Lok Sabha elections, the Mayawati Government were snaring his party leaders in fake criminal cases.
"We have asked party workers to launch peaceful agitations across the state against their implication in false and fabricated criminal cases and the growing high handedness of the state government,” said Mulayam Singh Yadav.
He criticized the administration that it had badly failed to address the problems of the downtrodden, rampant corruption, acute shortage of power and deteriorating law and order situation.
"The State Government's only contribution is misuse and misappropriation of the state funds to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore for the construction of Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram memorials in the state capital," he alleged.
He also alleged that all developmental schemes and works initiated by his government had been stalled by the Mayawati-led ministry and the state was facing "unprecedented" power crisis.
"Bundelkhand region is confronted with drought-like situation and there were several reports of starvation deaths, but the government has taken no concrete remedial measures. It is only engaged in blame game with the Center for special economic package for the region," Yadav said. (ANI)
