Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Jan 7 : Mauritius President Rajkeswur Purryag along with his wife, Aneetah Purryag, visited Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

Purryag is on a seven-day state visit to India to strengthen bilateral cooperation and people-to-people contact between both nations.

He would also be the chief guest at the Parvasi Bharatiya Divas-2013 that brings together overseas Indians. The three-day event starts in Kochi, Kerala, today.

Over the weekend, Purryag visited his ancestral village Wajidpur in Bihar. (ANI)
